S1 Summer Bridging Programme

The S1 Summer Bridging Programme is an important annual event organized by the school, aimed at welcoming new S1 students and their parents into SFXS family. This programme not only provides opportunities for new students to meet their classmates, teachers, and the principal, but also helps them prepare for their secondary school life.

The main components of the programme include:

  1. S1 Parents' Meeting: This is an important platform designed to help parents understand the school's teaching philosophy, curriculum design, and student support systems. The meeting typically takes place before the new academic year begins, providing parents with the opportunity to communicate directly with the school management and teachers.
  1. S1 Welcome Activity (Half Day): Organized by the school’s Co-Curricular Activities Committee and Student Affairs Committee, this activity includes various interactive games and team-building activities. New students will have the chance to explore different areas of the campus and learn about the school’s resources and facilities. These engaging activities not only foster interaction among new students but also help them build friendships and trust.
  1. S1 Welcome Day Camp (Two Days): During the S1 Welcome Day Camp, a series of team collaboration and leadership training activities, designed collaboratively by the school’s Counselling Committee and Pastoral Committee, will be implemented to enhance the social skills of new students. These activities encourage students to learn effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving through interaction.
  1. S1 Adaptation Course (Three Days): The S1 Adaptation Course is a crucial three-day activity aimed at assisting new students in smoothly transitioning into secondary school life. Held in August, new students will wear their formal school uniforms and experience a simulated school day atmosphere. During the event, the supervisor and principal will conduct a badge ceremony, symbolizing the official membership of new students in the school and enhancing their sense of belonging. Additionally, new students will have the opportunity to meet their class teachers and subject teachers, establishing good relationships. The course also includes training on school regulations, classroom rules and campus life routines to help students adapt more quickly to the new learning environment.
